Bespoke resourcing sessions via video call in the time of Covid-19

Now could be the opportunity you have been waiting for, the time to focus on your health and wellbeing and that of the broader community. The time to ensure you are in a state of balance and fully resourced to support those who need you. Stress manifests with many forms and symptoms and is a natural part of life. Some stress is created and reinforced leading to states of panic and high anxiety. We are all concerned right now, we are acutely aware of everything rapidly changing and many of us are in shock. It’s important that we acknowledge and allow the feelings that we are experiencing, we can also use tools to regulate and to support us to be in a state where we can make informed choices and take action, rather than feeling like the world is falling in on top of us.

I offer resourcing sessions via video call (and in person for those who are not self-isolating), that are tailored to your needs and that give you skills and resources to use at any time you need them. I have a range of tried and tested tools to support you including meditation, visualization, yoga, movement, Wayapa Wuurrk (Indigenous Earth Mindfulness), craniosacral therapy and grounding techniques.

Pristine nature of healing

In healing there is always that pristine moment, where the realization, like a pin drop in a silent hall, a gasp of awe, comes the awareness in its pure and vibrant simplicity, the understanding of what actually is. The ideas and stories the mind tells suddenly wash away, though they have been eroded slowly with each step unfolding in beautiful synchronicity with the ability to handle what is being unraveled.

We do not realize something with our mind alone -  the rationality far too banal to compute the depth of realization.  The delicate and profound balance holds us in homeostasis, we seek and we gather but we realize when we are able, when it is essential to our growth and power.

Trusting, trusting but actually, more a knowing. Like staring at the sky filled with stars, a flicker then a falling star, make a wish, it is true. She holds us in her beautiful way and she is all knowing. There is no wisdom escaping her gaze.  We cannot fast track it, we follow the path and take the lead from the guide wire of our navel.  It travels, from the depths of the womb and into the depths of the foremothers, the knowledge and integration of wisdom. The be all and end all, the is. The life.

Let’s talk about hygiene

Ok so this is not a post about hand washing, we are all across that especially right now hey:) Of course, we are also all over our dental hygiene, basic hygiene etc- we have no arguments about its necessity. So what about mental hygiene? Here we have our brain that is constantly filtering, assessing, reasoning, responding, reacting, interacting and how often do we pay attention to it? I first heard the term ‘mental hygiene’ when listening to an interview by Krista Tippett with neuroscientist Richard Davidson on the brilliant On Being podcast. He says “we envision a time when we will recognize that our minds are just as important as our teeth and — I suspect there are no dentists in the audience — probably more important than our teeth. Doing simple mental exercise in the same way that we do physical exercise, I think, will be recognized as really an urgent public health need.” This is where biodynamic Craniosacral therapy comes in. It is a gentle therapy that empowers  mindfulness of the body enabling the mind to clear out and update its ‘files’. Its a premium way of attending to our mental hygiene and supporting our optimal health and wellbeing.
